ESTABLISHMENT
The Islamic Broadcasting Union was
established by virtue of a resolution adopted by the Islamic
Conference of Foreign Ministers in 1395 H (1975G), and its General
Secretariat was constituted in the middle of 1397H (1977G).

OBJECTIVES
The Union shall foster the following
objectives and missions:-

To spread the Islamic Da’wa ;

To promote the heritage of Islam and promote the use of the
Arabic language to Muslims throughout the world;
-
To promote awareness ,understanding and tolerance between
Muslims and non-Muslims worldwide;
-
To promote and support awareness of Islamic causes , common
Islamic trends and adhere sincerely to just causes wherever they
may be;
-
To promote mutual support, concern and awareness amongst Islamic
cultures and civilisations and deepened the spirit of Islamic
fraternity amongst them;
-
To consolidate relations amongst members of the Union with a
view to unify efforts seeking common objectives;
-
To promote and enhance the exchange of information amongst
members which shall include broadcasting programs , news and
technology;
-
To promote and coordinate activities in producing content for
radio and television programming which will include joint
production initiatives and exercises as well as exchange of
personnel amongst members of the Union;

To coordinate, support and cooperate in human resource
development;
-
To promote closer international cooperation among members in
electronic media development, convergence and new media
-
To establish and enhance cooperation with regional and
international broadcasting organizations with a view to ensuring
a unified stand of its members with common aims and objectives;

To establish and enhance
cooperation with other bodies, institutions and organization
whether related to broadcasting or otherwise to support,
supplement and compliment our common aims and objectives
