Algerian Minister of Communication, Ammar Belhimer, affirmed that his ministerial department seeks to "conform" the new media law with the constitution, in order to give this reform a "renovation character".
Mr. Belhimer explained that "the mission undertaken by the Ministry of Communication to give a modern character that ensures its conformity with the constitution, developments recorded in the media arena, and international standards."
He added that the goal is to "review all organic laws, including the media law in light of respecting the new provisions of the constitution"
